About the Designer
Paul Abbatepaolo: Senior Project Engineer for Augros, Inc.
For many years, the cosmetics industry has shown
growing interest in a square-necked jar design.
Always the problem solver, Paul began to draw and
tinker with different ideas until he came up with
a design he believed would work. A mock-up was
created, and the square-necked jar became a reality.
At that point, Augros, Inc. filed for a patent, which
was presented on November 20, 2001. The first sale of
this design was to Estee Lauder in 2003, for the launching
of their new Kohl's line of products called
"good skin."
At this time, Paul's second patent has just been approved and
the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is processing it.
